Gothic Quarter
The Gothic Quarter, or El Gòtic, is the historic center of the old city of Barcelona. It stretches from La Rambla to Via Laietana and from the Mediterranean seafront to the Ronda de Sant Pere. It is a part of the Ciutat Vella district. The quarter encompasses the oldest parts of the city of Barcelona and includes the remains of the city's Roman wall and several notable medieval landmarks. Much of the present-day fabric of the quarter, however, dates to the 19th and early 20th centuries. El Call, the medieval Jewish quarter, is located within this area, along with the former Sinagoga Major. The Barri Gòtic retains a labyrinthine street plan, with many small streets opening out into squares. Most of the quarter is closed to regular traffic, although it is open to service vehicles and taxis.

Will I have privacy?All guests have access to a bedroom within the home for more privacy.

Are pets allowed?Although we love all pets, we might have members with potential allergies, so, unfortunately, we can’t allow people to bring pets with them. We want to make sure everyone can be happy in their communal home.

Can I split the rent with my partner or a friend?We do allow couples and friends to stay in selected rooms, ensuring there’s plenty of space for your needs and comfort.

Is there a designated space for work?Coworking is available in the Ramblas building. You only need to walk (about 2 minutes) from your property to gain access to this space.

What types of people will I be sharing the home with?We have a multicultural environment and you could share the spaces with students and digital nomads around the world.

Will I get the same room as on the photos?The room you will be assigned might differ slightly from the photos but will match the room type. You are booking a room/bed by type, not a specific unit.

Can I tour the property first?You don´t need to tour the property, and here is why:
- Properties on Coliving.com have pictures and a clear description of the community, rooms, and common areas. Most of them also have 3D or video tours.
- Restricting viewings provide equal opportunities for everyone, whether you are a local or live abroad. Plus, it preserves the privacy of our coliving communities.
- If anything is unclear, you can easily reach out to the property by clicking "Contact host" and ask for more details. Make sure your questions are not already covered in the description or the FAQ section.
- Coliving.com makes sure the coliving property is as advertised, by only sending any money to the operator 24h after you have successfully moved in.

My booking has been accepted, now what?Once you’ve been accepted and confirmed your ideal moving-in date, the host will be there to welcome you to your new home. They will help you settle in your room, show you around the space, and introduce you to the other community members. Once we’ve answered your questions, you will be given time to get settled and make yourself at home.

Can I extend or shorten my stay?Yes, of course.

When/how will you refund my security deposit?Our contracts establish a time of at least 6 weeks from the check-out date (as long as you have made the request for refund of the deposit in the client area before that date) or from the date of the request for refund of the deposit (these terms are on the guest's contract). Note that you need to fill in all your details correctly.
The refund's deadline appears in the contract and in our extranet of customers. When your departure date approaches, you will be sent an email reminding you to enter the bank details for the return (i5 days before your check-out). -
Can I cancel a booking?You may cancel with no fees until you have paid. Once you have paid for your booking, the Cancellation Policy needs to be followed.

What if I don’t know exactly how long I want to stay?You may book a shorter stay first and then extend once you know more about your needs.

What if the place is not as advertised?You have 24hrs to let us know if everything is okay. If you think you’ve been missold to, or the listing was significantly different to what you got, we’ll help you find somewhere else to live, or refund your money.

Do I have to clean the room when I move out?No, as there is a check-out cleaning fee that is mandatory for all residents.

Are the communal areas cleaned frequently?Yes, common spaces are cleaned (change of towels and linen) every 15 days.
