This is more than just a regular apartment. When you put interesting, smart, and enthusiastic people together in one of the coolest neighborhoods in Chicago, it’s bound to be amazing!
You will have your own room, but you will share three bathrooms, a kitchen, two common rooms, and an experience.
The kitchen is fully equipped and available for everyone to use. There are 5 fridges available to use by the residents (2 of them are located on the lower floor). Laundry is provided!

Will I have privacy?Each room is private. The common areas including the kitchen, living room and bathrooms are all shared with the other tenants.

Are pets allowed?Unfortunately, we do not allow pets.

Can I split the rent with my partner or a friend?Each room is designed for just one person. Guests are allowed but two people cannot rent a room.

Is there a designated space for work?You can use the living room as a work area.

What types of people will I be sharing the home with?Your roommates will always change. We have people from all over the world, doing anything from working, completing their PHDs, making art, and everything in between.

Will I get the same room as on the photos?The room you will be assigned might differ slightly from the photos but will match the room type. You are booking a room/bed by type, not a specific unit.

Can I tour the property first?You don´t need to tour the property, and here is why:
- Properties on Coliving.com have pictures and a clear description of the community, rooms, and common areas. Most of them also have 3D or video tours.
- Restricting viewings provide equal opportunities for everyone, whether you are a local or live abroad. Plus, it preserves the privacy of our coliving communities.
- If anything is unclear, you can easily reach out to the property by clicking "Contact host" and ask for more details. Make sure your questions are not already covered in the description or the FAQ section.
- Coliving.com makes sure the coliving property is as advertised, by only sending any money to the operator 24h after you have successfully moved in.

My booking has been accepted, now what?Once you’ve been accepted and confirmed your ideal moving-in date, the host will be there to welcome you to your new home. They will help you settle in your room, show you around the space, and introduce you to the other community members. Once we’ve answered your questions, you will be given time to get settled and make yourself at home.

Can I cancel a booking?You may cancel with no fees until you have paid. Once you have paid for your booking, the Cancellation Policy needs to be followed.

What if I don’t know exactly how long I want to stay?You may book a shorter stay first and then extend once you know more about your needs.

What if the place is not as advertised?You have 24hrs to let us know if everything is okay. If you think you’ve been missold to, or the listing was significantly different to what you got, we’ll help you find somewhere else to live, or refund your money.

What potential costs are there besides the rent?When booking through Coliving.com, our Move-in fee is applied directly to the rent so there are no additional fees associated with the rent. The only other potential costs would be fees associated with damages done to the community.

Are all rooms furnished?Yes, each room will have a bed, desk, chair, lamp, wardrobe or storage space, and windows!

Is there a kitchen where I can cook my own food?Yes! We designed the kitchens to be perfect for making your own meals. We provide cookware, utensils, and basic spices in our communities.

Can I work in the communal area?Yes! All our community areas are free to work on.

Are the communal areas cleaned frequently?We have a house keeper clean common areas every week. This includes the living room, kitchen, hallways, and bathrooms.

Is there parking on the property?There is free parking on Francis street. Point street parking requires a permit. There is no private parking.

Do you have events?Events are currently organized by the community itself. The community is allowed to host people inside the property and in the garden area as long as everyone consents to an event.

Are meals included?We provide shelf and fridge space for your own groceries. The kitchen can be used for cooking, baking, prepping, or anything else.

Can I extend my stay?Yes, as long as you let us know with 30-days notice, we can extend your existing lease to fit you needs.

Can I pro-rate my rent?We do not offer prorated rates for our rooms. We rent the room starting at each calendar month.

Can I move in on the 15th of the month?Your lease will start on the 1st of the month, so you can choose to move in anytime within the month!
