Although we love all pets, we might have members with potential allergies, so, unfortunately, we can’t allow people to bring pets with them. We want to make sure everyone can be happy in their communal home.
Can I split the rent with my partner or a friend?

Unfortunately, no. We don't accept couples, as space is shared and the price is per person.
Is there a designated space for work?

You have plenty of flexible workspace options to suit your mood and your requirements for the day.
Will I get the same room as on the photos?

The room you will be assigned might differ slightly from the photos but will match the room type. You are booking a room/bed by type, not a specific unit.
Can I tour the property first?

You don´t need to tour the property, and here is why:
- Properties on Coliving.com have pictures and a clear description of the community, rooms, and common areas. Most of them also have 3D or video tours.
- Restricting viewings provide equal opportunities for everyone, whether you are a local or live abroad. Plus, it preserves the privacy of our coliving communities.
- If anything is unclear, you can easily reach out to the property by clicking "Contact host" and ask for more details. Make sure your questions are not already covered in the description or the FAQ section.
- Coliving.com makes sure the coliving property is as advertised, by only sending any money to the operator 24h after you have successfully moved in.

My booking has been accepted, now what?

Once you’ve been accepted and confirmed your ideal moving-in date, the host will be there to welcome you to your new home. They will help you settle in your room, show you around the space, and introduce you to the other community members. Once we’ve answered your questions, you will be given time to get settled and make yourself at home.

What information do I need to supply for the application?

Pay stubs or bank statements as proof of your income and the contact information of your current or previous landlord

Can I extend or shorten my stay?

You can extend your stay. We offer only fixed leases.

Is there a Credit Score required?

Yes, there is.
When/how will you refund my security deposit?

Security deposit refund timeline policy, according to California law, is 21 days after the move-out date, including all charges that may occur. Please note that the remaining security deposit amount can be refunded only the same way it was paid or by mailing a physical check.
Can I cancel a booking?

You may cancel with no fees until you have paid. Once you have paid for your booking, the Cancellation Policy needs to be followed.
What if I don’t know exactly how long I want to stay?

You may book a shorter stay first and then extend once you know more about your needs.
What if the place is not as advertised?

You have 24hrs to let us know if everything is okay. If you think you’ve been missold to, or the listing was significantly different to what you got, we’ll help you find somewhere else to live, or refund your money.

Is it permissible to have visitors during the day/night?

Guests are allowed in the visiting area but NOT in the bedrooms. Strictly no guests overnight.
Be aware that we can assume no liability for your guests or their possessions.
Are kids allowed?

As this is essentially a working environment, our facilities aren’t baby-proofed or child-friendly. Having kids around can be a major distraction for other colivers and you. So, it’s a no.
Is it possible to request a change of room or apartment if I am not satisfied with the current one?

Of course. If a room is released and you want to move in, you will have the opportunity to pay the rent difference. We may also charge an additional room cleaning fee.
Can I smoke inside? How about vaping?

To keep our environment clean and healthy, we ask that you refrain from smoking indoors, including private rooms, common areas, hallways, and balconies. If you do wish to smoke, please do so outside, away from the building entrance, and kindly dispose of your cigarette butts properly. Thank you for helping us maintain a pleasant space for everyone!
Can I receive post/mail to the property?

Yes. We will provide updated info once you have moved in.
What are the quiet hours?

On a weekday, quiet hours are from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. As with any shared housing scenario, the golden rule is to be respectful of others in your community and not wake them up or disturb them if they’re trying to have a quiet night.
